This Virus started in December of 2019 in Wuhan of China
and it dint take time to spread in USA of North Carolina
People got sick with Pneumonia, Cough and Fever
what a Virus it is, made us all a big time griever.

Slowly its dark shadows started reaching across the entire globe,
The pain, agony and fear wounded us with its dirty probe.
We started to hear words we never heard, like "Quarantine"
now wait a minute, what does that even mean?

People lost their jobs and were ordered to stay Home,
I am glad in past, I got a chance to visit Rome.
Among all the people, Children were really bored
but with time, they coped with it and found a new chore

Amidst all these difficult moments, see what we have learned
new traits, new dreams and new interests earned
we blogged new recipes, we crafted new things
we sketched and painted, had a few drinks

We saw a drop in air pollution, and enjoyed a stroll in nature.
Oh Wow, look at me , I have become a preacher :)
One day the sunshine with return and we shall set free
But for now, lets all be at home and look outside at that beautiful tree.

Angels around me

When the days are tough and the nights are long

I see some angels around me
Sometimes in form of my Mother
Sometimes in form of a friend
Sometimes in form of my daughter
and sometimes just in form of Myself

They tell me to blog a little, or even do some Origami art
They tell me to pay attention to them and listen to their stories
They tell me to dance and listen to my favorite beats
They tell me I love you mumma, and they tell me things are fine and they tell me to have some patience and go on a splendid ride

I thank you dear 1033 Gods :) for giving me calm and peace with them
The unknowingly protect me from all the evil harms

What I know for Sure !!

So just few months back, I was browsing the net where I read about this book "What I know for Sure" by Oprah Winfrey. As I went through the review, I found it very inspirational and intriguing. I went ahead and bought myself a copy of the book through eBay. As soon as I got the book in my hand and when my daughter fell asleep at night. I started reading and was not able to stop.

A very wise Man once said

“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”-Charles William Eliot 

 

So there I go agreeing to the above quote, I find peace and solace when I read. Its like Meditation to me where I can breathe and feel the calm and quiet.

 

I would like to list some of the Key bullet points I got to learn from Oprah and from her life's journey, so that I do not forget these when I find myself moving ahead in life .   

•  At different times in our journey, if we are paying attention, we get to sing the song we are meant to sing in the perfect key of life.

• What do you do when you've done all you can, and it seems likes its never enough? What do you give when you've given your all and it seems like you cant make it through? The answer is simple "You just Stand"--Its the Ability to face resistance and walk through it.

• When you get a choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.

• There is one desire, we all share. We all want to feel valued, but the love and affirmation you crave for cannot be found outside oneself.

• Life is always better when you share it.

•  Practice Gratitude-If the only prayer you ever say in your life is 'Thank you'. it will be enough.

Channa Mereya

Just recently there was a Karan Johar film which was released. Though the movie was a big time flop for me , I did enjoy few songs from the movie .. The lyrics just keeps coming back to me like a beautiful dream. The song has been sung by Arijit Singh , one of the most soulful voice I have heard in a very long time .. composed by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya .

Indian Films go to Oscars-- Good or Bad !!

Well its been a long time I thought of writing something after an interesting topic which came in my mind today.
I read about Peepli Live going for Oscars on timesofindia. I was like WOW !! thats amazing .
On a second thought I was like " Let watch the movie". Since my hubby was busy with some other work, I thought of watching it alone online.

Throughout the movie I was thinking about the Media and the Journalists and cursing them for what they do for increasing the TRP of their TV Channels.. It is ridiculous .. The script was good and it showed "REALITY OF INDIA" and Indian people and villages..

Just after finishing the movie , another movie came in my mind which was "Slumdog Millionaire". Well that movie was also good and did go to winning an Oscar.. It was a great Moment for India and a proud Moment for all Indians..But truly speaking it has really created a bad impact for India throughout the world.. The poverty shown in such movies make the west and other countries think India as very poor and a cheap place to stay. BY showing all negative qualities of India , people look upon Indians in USA or other countries as Cheap labour.This is the main reason countries do outsourcing .

I wish the Film Directors, Writers could also write about the "Beautiful India" and the people who live there.

Do a good deed and throw it into the well!'

Such a nice thought "Do a good deed and throw it into the well",meaning do good and forget about it .. Lately I have been reading in timesofindia about Life and Spirituality and I was so very happy to read this article in the spirituality section of timesofindia..
let me share a small sayings said by Jesus christ about this

I have learned that "Life is more peaceful when you don't have any expectations". Everyone has this question in mind at sometime in life why do I help that person ? he wont even call me later to say thank you or you were great and I really appreciate what you have done for me .. This is the point at which you think about yourself first rather than "others".

My mom used to tell me always .. the more you give in life -- the more you will get .. now I understand her statement what she meant .. she meant that the more you help others without expecting anything in return .. the more you will receive from God in some form or the other and that too along with interest . He is always looking upon you from far and knows who is doing good and who is doing bad :)

Mind your Tongue!!

Well today I am writing what is 99.99% true for all of us. The fact is that we all are helpless and can’t do anything about it. We might be coming up with few questions in mind which always remains in our mind, but never comes up on our tongue!!
Let’s run through a conversation between two women who happen to be very good friends once upon a time. They meet each other accidentally at a party. On seeing each other, one initiates a contact!!

Neeta: Hey Ayesha how are you?
(In mind): Oh man, what is she doing here?

Ayesha: Hi Neeta I am good how have you been, long time no see?
(In mind): Damn!! She has become so fat …... I look prettier than her 

Neeta: I know, it’s been a long time... I was so busy you know with work and household chores
(In mind): Oh boy she looks so dark, may be she tanned herself for the summer …what a looser!!

Ayesha: I can understand how it is, I myself get so busy that don’t get a chance to call my close ones you know
(In mind): What a lie … I know busy with new boyfriend , I pity her hubby … plus so much of extra weight she has added on her body that she would not be able to get up from the bed …hahaha

Neeta: So how’s your new fashion magazine getting along in the market?
(In mind): I am sure no one must be reading it u idiot… try something new baby!!

Ayesha: Oh it’s great!! Everybody loves my work a lot, plus so much of appreciation from the public has been incredible

Neeta: That’s lovely Ayesha … You are indeed going place…
(In mind): Bullshit!! .. No one even know the name of your Magazine...

This was between Neeta and Ayesha.. .. Now how about you guys??

How safe is your content !!

Just few days back ,I was going through a video on Facebook . It said " Dont add those people whom you dont know" .
Well the entire video rotated around a girl who had uploaded her pictures on FB.
She had so many unknown friends which she had never met in her life .She had also mentioned her phone number and home address on it.Someone kept calling the girl all the time saying that he has his pictures and can modify it and send that to a porn website .. She was devastated

One more incident happened after this, when an employee at work stated that he
"is getting bored" as a status message on fb. His boss came to know about it and fired him the very same day ...

In this modern life when all are busy running around , websites like Myspace,Facebook and many others are really a good way to keep in touch with friends and family,but if you're going to use its services, at least be smart enough to protect your interests online.

Editing the privacy of your profile is the best way to avoid any mishaps in your profile .. So think twice before you post!!

The lost world!!

I woke up during a cold winter day to look around
and I had nobody next to me who had a beautiful sound
I thought to myself where am I
Finally I heard voice inside me saying good bye...
Things had changed, I never realized
With experience I was much more wise!!
However, I missed my lost world so much
With all lovely and caring touch
I see a man, now next to me
Along with a cup of refreshing tea!!
I kissed him and told him “I love you”
He smiled and said “I love you too”
This is a new chapter in my life
as now I was someone’s wife!!!
I will cherish my days spent behind
With a beautiful and a lovely mind !!

Neera Chopra – Woman of Substance

It was just few days’ back that I read an article on timesofindia which inspired me to write about Mrs Neera Chopra (Mother of Femina Miss India –Pooja Chopra) in my blog. I want me and others to remember her “courage” and “never give up” attitude throughout his or her life, so I am including a post exclusively for her…
For those who dint read it let me write it down for you in short...

After getting married, Mrs Neera chopra was living a life full of abuses, poverty and shame. Her husband was a bad guy and used to beat her a lot. When she delivered a baby girl for the first time all were upset with her...

After been neglected, still she continued staying with his family since she had no other support…. She tried a lot to please her husband, but it was of no use….when Pooja (second child) was eight months in her womb, her husband got a girl to the house and announced he would marry her… Totally devastated she felt like killing herself at that time. But the mere thought of giving her children the best life brought her back to her senses…

In few days she left her husbands home and with the help of her family she continued to live …It was not so easy for her ... With each and every step there were difficulties and frustrations.. Emotionally and Financially she suffered a lot.. She worked Day and Night just to feed her children.. Sometimes she used to go to bed without eating dinner... Her daughters helped each other to grow to be wonderful human being they are today ..The youngest became the Femina Miss India this year..
In her speech Pooja Chopra says “‘I won due to my mother’s karma’...Pooja also adds that when her mother walked out his father’s house she turned around and told her husband, ‘One day, this girl will make me proud’. That day has come. Her husband went on to marry a woman who gave him two sons. Today, as I stand here as Miss India, I don’t even know if my father knows that it is me, his daughter, who has set out to conquer the world, a crown on my head.

Well this is what is called “Power of showing Courage, Determination, and Patience”. It’s for us to think why are we crying all the time for not having things the way we want… Our lives is much better and touchwood we have not gone through such tough times yet, still we break down after few failures in life... Is this Fair Enough?

I salute her and respect her from the bottom of my heart and would always pray to God to give me the same courage to move ahead in my life …

1-Make all the village hospitals (which alrady exists in the vilages) available with good doctors. and with free medicines which is as per policy of a govt hospitals.

2-All the schools in the states should be brought under CBSE and the partial state educatin systmes should be scrapped. There should be independent body like election commision for national education also.

3- Hindi, english should be made compulsory in all schools and regional language should be third optional language.

4-Uniform civil code should be implemented , where there is no state religion and all have to follow legal indian religion system and ur personal religion is only applicable inside ur house only. ( no building at ayondhya disputed land. rather make free AIIMS like institution for the people of india)

5-All TV and print Media should telecast the india's development news in the prime time or front page for 1 hour/ 1 page daily.

6-The vocation system in our courts should be max upto 15 days a year and there should be evening courts also.

7- India should guartentee good education and job for all, irrespective of caste and religion. MAx reservation should not be more than 30% .

8- Voting should be made compulsory for all.

9- All the CMs and PM should telecast their development projects and the results of policy on national DD everymonth, because they are answerable to people of india. MPs and MLA should be stripped of VIP treatment as they are for the people of india. and there should be a confedential complain system in every govt offices and it should be addressed within one month and MPs and MLAs should be held resposible for any delay therein.

10- If our leadres become honest for just 5 year,, we can become developed nations like EU,US in just 5 years.
IS THERE ANY PROBLEM IN ABOVE MENTIONED 10 STEPS !?
please learn good honest work of naredra modi, candra babu naidu,shivraj singh cauhan etc. NSA should also be for the leaders like thakcrey family group who beat indians inside india !! what a mockery is this !!

Satisfied?

When we were a child, we always wanted to grow up so that we could walk like others

When we started walking, we longed to go to school and finish our studies.

After completing with school we wanted to go to college to study further and pursue a degree.

After studying we thought now its time to earn some money for present and future

So after working for 8 hours, we thought lets do overtime and earn some extra buck

So after getting settled with job, we wanted to get married, and after getting married we wanted to have a child. And after having a child we wanted to have a second child. Than we wanted our children to grow old fast and get married and get settled in their life.

Phew!! So are we satisfied now? Oh yes but now it’s the time to go to Heaven darling ;)

It’s Fun…... It's Fitness... It’s Zumba!!!

Well the first time when you hear about Zumba you would definitely ask whats this?
I have been going to a Gym from almost a while and it was good to catch up with some dance steps instead of those regular threadmill, elliptical and cycling.

The moment I entered the class and the Music started I was like where am I? Damn it was too fast for me... I guess I was the odd one out who dint knew anything there… just pretending to do what they were doing I started to catch up soon and now it’s a routine for me ;)

For those who don’t know much let me tell u “Zumba” is a fitness program inspired by Latin Dance in which we blend some exercise of body sculpting .It’s a very unique form of dance and it’s very entertaining as well as enjoyable. One would definitely have a gala time out there.

The best part of the workout was my Instructor. He really made sure that all did their job well and gave his 100% while teaching us. Also I made a friend called Sophia (Russian)..She is 40 and she looks like 20 .So u see that’s the magic of Zumba ;)

Chetan Bhagat

Everyone has some or the other person whom they like or whom they admire
Mine is Chetan Bhagat--Author of few famous novels like Five point someone, One Night at Call Center and The three mistakes of my life
I just love the way he writes stuff. They are so easy to understand as well as so amusing to read .
It feels as if some friend of you is sitting next beside you and narrating a story

The best Novel which I liked the most was 5 point someone
Story of three friends who are unable to cope up at IIT.
Some parts from the novel are related to my College life as well 

The Alchemist

Sounds weird isn’t it? Yeah but the meaning of it is also quite strange
It means a person who teaches Alchemy. Now what the heck is Alchemy?

Okie than let me tell you that its a form of chemistry and speculative philosophy practiced in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and concerned principally with discovering methods for transmuting metals into gold and with finding a universal solvent and an elixir of life.

This thing is depicted in a book called “The Alchemist “which I read few days back by Paulo Coelho.

In this he is inspiring us to follow our dreams and keep faith in it to conquer anything in life just the way how one can turn a metal into gold. The same way one can find his destiny if he believes in himself.

I loved reading this book after a long time. The story is just awesome

1st Semester-

New college wow.. have to get so many books .. Oh My God and have to start studying

What the heck this Mechanics is not leaving me alone at all
Need to concentrate.. arre chod this time its gonna be damn easy .. chod yaar lets go for a movie.----- exams over

3rd Semester

ok now whats new .. new subjects seems easier than mechanics and drawing

Results- oh man finally cleared all course except Mechanics 2

4th Semester

Somehow managed to clear all course .. lekin oral exam main lag gayi

5th semester

No more burden now . waiting for 7th and 8th to come fast

6th semester

Finally no ATKTS

7th Semester - Finally came first in class

8th Semester- had to leave College


People always say that you live your life once and thats only when you are in COLLEGE
Enjoy it since these days will never come back
Make as many friends since only these friends would be in touch with you when you move ahead in life

Holi Function at Dwarkadhish Temple

It was just recently that I happened to visit this Dwarkadhish temple with my family. It was my most memorable moment, after coming to the United States of America. The temple has a huge space, which can accommodate thousands of people

It is surprising to know that people celebrate Holi out here with the same Indian touch and with the same passion they celebrate back home .We played holi for sometimes with dry colors. Mainly gulal.was used as the main color Water was not used at all. In the evening there was this Bonfire litted. We all did the pradikshana around the bonfire and seeked Gods blessings People say that when the bonfire is lit all the devils die in it and there is peace everywhere around the place.

After the bonfire we had dinner at the temple. Puri, Chole ,Rice and potato subji was served . It was also surprising to know that the entire function was sponsored by the members of the temple The place was crowded so much that there was no space left to move around.

It was indeed a pleasant experience all together :)

Sometimes things may fall apart in order for other things to fall in place.

When things go wrong and when days become hard remember there’s only one thing which keep us going that is our faith in God that at last everything would be fine, which is always true.

After every bad time, good time arrives and it makes us feel much more happier..

Theres a saying which goes like this “ Whether through trouble or through pain, the lessons never go in vain”. So whatever bad time one goes through makes the person much more stronger, responsible and a matured.

Well I guess too much of philosophy now …have to get back to work :)

Stage par ab kis ke saath jaoonga

Juniors ko faltoo ke lectures kaise sunaonga

Doston ke liye professor se kab lad payenge

Kya hum ye fir kar payenge

Raat ko 2 baje pohe khane kaun jayega

3 gilaas lassi peene ki shart kaun lagayega

Kaun mujhe meri kabiliyat par bharosa dilayega

Aur jyada hawa mein udne par zameen pe layega

Bas ek baat se dar lagta hai doston

Hum ajanabi na ban jayein doston

Zindagi ke rangon mein dosti ka rang feeka na pad jaye

Kahin aisa na ho doosre rishton ki bheed mein dosti dum tod jayye

Zindagi mein milne ki fariyaad karte rehna

Agar na mil sakein to kam se kam yaad karte rehna

Chahe jitna hanslo aaj mujh par, mein bura nahi manooga

Is hansi ko apne dil mein basa loonga

Aur jab yaad aayegi tumhari, yahi hansi lekar thoda muskura loonga

Terna Engineering College=Fun and masti

When I go back in my memories and recollect those moments where I enjoyed my life to the fullest Only 1 place comes in my mind
"Terna Engineering college".

4 years of non stop fun,adventure and studies..ohh did we really study...
I still have nightmares about this subject "Mechanics".Oh My God how did i clear it ..mystery unsolved

I can go anywhere but cant forget these few things in my life

My first Crush,
Lecture which i always used to bunk
The first friend i made
Andheri-belapur train which i used to catch
Nerul station
That vada pav stall near the station
Canteen
Copying assignments from friends
Laughing in class without any reason
Pulling friends legs
Crying before the results...
Messing up sometimes during exams
Industrial visit to Bangalore

The list can go on and on. I guess i wont be able to complete this also so have to stop now

I see her face when I close my eyes
I feel her in other people, may be she would be there in disguise

I never realized your value until I left for a new place
Now I feel it’s hard to even tie my own lace

Beautiful Things in life !!

Life is not only about how good you look or how you dressed up it’s about how you feel from inside about oneself. Life is all about enjoying minute things in life.

There are people who always keep on searching for different things in life for e.g A beautiful Wife, A Big Home, A cool car and many such more things.

These are just materialistic things in life. What if you have a big Sofa at your home but you don’t have time to sit on it. What if you have the most beautiful Women to be your wife but she is not Caring and loving as she should be. What if you have Money but you don’t have sleep.

Have you seen a Child smiling in sleep? Isnt that lovely.

Have you seen a Drop of water trickling down from a leaf? Isn’t that beautiful

Birds chirping around, The color of fall. Arent they much more beautiful and lovely

Have you heard a Guitar been played by a Guitarist.Isnt that sweet

The flowers which bloom in Spring aren’t they beautiful

Life is to appreciate these things :)
